Welcome Gus! Mara’s paddock is for four horses but there have only been three for the past six weeks. Now Gus is back and we are delighted that he’s joined our herd. You see today that Gus was on his own while SeaB, Mara and Nyles where at the shelter. There is a period of adjustment for the new horse to “join up” and today these three were keeping Gus “over there.” Humans have no influence on any of this horse behavior, we simply observe and watch them work out their own hierarchy.
