Walk Around

It was a cold but sunny afternoon visit for Mara and me today. We spent much of our time together investigating the stable grounds. The operation to make stall bedding from the corn husks is still under way, and the production pile was huge. We strolled through the corn field to enjoy the late day sun (however we did see some orange jackets up on the hill) and visited horses in the back paddocks. Mara B is definitely getting a thick winter coat!

What a neat idea, I’d be interested to see how the bedding works out

    1. It works out great! The stable is part of a very large farm and they are using sustainable practices
