March first and more snow falling! When I arrived for my afternoon visit with Mara B she was covered in snow and seemed to be waiting at the gate for me. (or so I imagined.)
We started with run around time in the indoor arena for exercise and to lose the snow off of her back.
We stopped to see the goats and Bella on our way in for hay and grooming.
The barn was very quiet with just the cats and a few horses in stalls. As I groomed Mara I realized I feel contained and confined by the ice, deep snow and cold temperatures. Preferring outside riding to indoor horse time I’m dealing with a taste of ‘cabin fever’ of sorts.
Our visit was not only snowy but also peaceful, quiet and calm and that was uplifting. Hello to March.
