Mara B was tucked in and all warm in her stall when I arrived today, not exactly sure why, other than the predicted bad weather.
So stretching her legs and stepping outside was a welcome diversion.
Snow has arrived at River Brink and it was definitely icy under foot.
The barn was quiet and peaceful, Mara B. and I had a pleasant, slow visit with grooming, moving Mara, tidying up her stall, letting her munch while I swept the barn aisle. All calming repetitive tasks that soothe me and allow some thinking time…. today we thought about thanking you, our friends who ride along with us. Thank you and Happy Thanksgiving to you and yours, we do appreciate you.
Here’s an earlier fall photo for you that we hope ‘shares the beauty and bounty of nature’ which is what we try to do! Savor the moment I’ve come to learn, we personally know it can all change in an instant….
”Thanks are the highest form of thought, and gratitude is happiness doubled by wonder.” -G. K. Chesterton
