Blue-White & Scat

Most days now Mara is half clean, half messy, you see her messy side here, the side she lays on in her stall. So grooming her is the first thing we did today before a very nice afternoon ride “out back.”

Our first observation on our way out were these four pals all laying down together soaking up the sunshine, it was an Icies Siesta.

Both the sky and the snow appeared blue-white today, the sun was glistening off the snow, there was no wind, and deer droopings or scat was also observed along the trail. We watched this hawk fly in to the tree as we approached.

We turned the corner and he flew off overhead.

We crossed the hay field on a deer path and then returned in on the four wheeler trail.

Mara B was great, my feet did get cold, we know our outdoor ride time is less and our range is smaller now but it’s still delightful to be out together as much as we can. We wrapped up the week with a very pleasant experience, appreciating being “out.”
