Snow had fallen all morning and Mara B was wet and snow covered when we met up this afternoon. The horses around the back paddocks were peaceful, content and seemed to be as delighted with the beautiful white stillness as I was.
I brushed the snow off Mara, let her exercise in the indoor arena and then we saddled up.
Most of our ride time was inside but we also had to try out the snowy fields, it was beautiful out there! We enjoyed a grayish blue horizon with brilliant fresh white white snow surrounding us.
Our first real snow ride of the winter, it takes me a while to get back in to the swing of riding in snow boots and snow pants, it’s simply a different feel. Mara B was a trooper and didn’t blink an eye at the changing conditions, making for a fun activity with her.
