Nuestra querida ahijada Mariela nos visita de Mexico esta semana
Fotos de nosotros visitando Mara esta trade
Fue un dia ocupado en el establo . Mariela compartio tiempo con mis amigos y sus caballos
And Jay, Helen, Mara B and Lindy are learning Spanish this week!
My neighbor Matthew was out of school today so he joined us at the barn to do filming for his YouTube channel. Today his project was “winter horse time.” Matthew filmed Mara B, SeaB, the Icelandic horses and the pasture herd.
Mara remembers Matthew and really likes him. The Icies enjoyed being filmed too.
We filmed in the indoor arena to warm up as it was 19 degrees outside today.
Thanks for joining us this afternoon Matthew, I look forward to seeing your completed project.
Mara had some practice loading into Lorrie’s horse trailer this afternoon. It’s nice for her to stay tuned up with this skill. Thank you Lorrie, we appreciate the opportunity.
Jay was our photographer and groom today. We gave Mara free time in the indoor arena plus I saddled her up for a little light riding.
Then we met up with Greg and Suzy Q and Greg had brought Suzy a big bag of animal crackers! I did not know that horses like them.
May we all enjoy a special treat this weekend.
Mara B and I have not seen each other for a few days while I’ve been enjoying Little Free Library meetings and visiting LFL Board Members! I was definitely missing my horse time but found some horse inspiration on a few of our outings.
(There will be a special prize for the follower who can correctly identify where I spotted this beautiful horse.)
Today at the end of our meetings Jake, from Arizona visited Mara B with me and they really hit it off.
I was delighted to have my Mara B check in time and to share her with Jake. We seem to be on to a new season.
The heat is now on in the barn and all the barn doors have been shut. Mara B was definitely ready to come into the barn for our visit today. It was cold, rainy, and windy.
Mara enjoyed her hay while I attempted to clean her up before heading to the indoor arena. We are not big fans of the indoor arena, however she did enjoy free time to race around today.
The next few days look like more questionable outdoor riding weather. So Mara and I are just dreaming of our next ride outside together.
Most days I think ahead to where we may ride and then I love to review the rides in my head when I’m back home.
Sharing photos from Saturday, Sunday and today! Jay’s day on Saturday was fun for all three of us. Mara loves his attention and I appreciated his photography skills. Jay captured our fun in the fields ride time.
Sunday was a cold rainy washout for us. I simply brought Mara B in for some food and a respite from the crummy weather. There is not much you can do with a really wet horse.
Today we got our ride in before the sprinkles arrived. We found some fall scenes to share. We also watched a large buck come dashing out of the woods and race across the back fields directly in front of us to the woods on the far side. A powerful sight of freedom.
Mara and I are still seeing the beauty of late autumn.
November has provided us some lovely riding weather so far! Yesterday Mara B and I met up with Bruce, a pasture horse who likes to hang out alone at the far corner of the pasture. Bruce has surprised a number of horses and riders from his side of the fence! We clearly saw him this time as we passed by.
Mara B also met up with her favorite farrier Brian for a trim and a new set of shoes.
This afternoon we enjoyed another great ride with Leah and her mare Holly. Mara and I gave them a little tour around the upper cow pasture and then on a loop around the Meyer’s Farm.
We will take 45 more days like today please, with ideal weather, open fields and good horses to ride.
Welcome to November.
On todays ride Mara and I discovered this huge tree trunk near the lower cow pasture meadow, it’s so significant it deserves a photo. We also enjoyed some beautiful deep reds along our path.
We liked the apple tree with no leaves too, it only has apples still hanging on.
Returning from our ride around the neighboring stable we met up with a former River Brink boarder out on her horse Pony. We chatted and caught up.
Pleasant surprises for us on a very pleasant afternoon ride.
Today’s post is spotlighting faithful Mara Moments follower, Uncle Raymond. Jay and I visited Raymond this weekend and enjoyed seeing the horse he lives with! His horse is from the frieze of the Parthenon in Athen’s Greece. Thanks for riding along with us Ray!
Mara B and I have had two great rides, yesterday and today so we’re sharing a few highlights from both of them here.
Sunday afternoon we had some lovely sun angles to enjoy.
Today we noticed how bare the trees really are now. However our big observation was the new deer stand on wheels. Plus we stopped to say hello to Barbie and Cha Ching on our way back home.
Cha Ching is friendly and really growing!
Happy Trails to all our followers.
